STEP
1: Creating your GalaxyCall Account Follow these
steps to obtain a user account and phone number: 1.
Open the Internet browser on your PC and go to www.GalaxyCall.net 2.
Click Signup and enter
Username and Password. For
this trial you will use the following access information: User
ID: GalaxyCall Password:
GalaxyCall 3.
Enter the requested information on the registration form and
click Accept. 4.
Verify the information and click Confirm.
Then check for a confirmation e-mail message from pregist@isr.co.jp. 5.
Click the activation link in the e-mail message to view your new
account information. Print
this information as you will need it to set up your software.
(You will also receive it in a separate e-mail message).
Note: Your “SIP URI” is your
4-digit GalaxyCall phone number followed by “@ppphone.jp” STEP
2: Downloading GalaxyCall software to your Computer 1.
Open the Internet browser on your PC and go to www.GalaxyCall.net.

Click Download. Note: If you are
prompted for a User ID and Password, use the same information provided
in Step 3 above. 3.
Click Agree if you
agree with the terms presented in the license agreement. 4.
Select the software version compatible with your system. 6.
Choose Save
to save the file to a location in your computer where you can retrieve
it later. Note: The downloaded file is a compressed (ZIP) file.
Download is now complete.
To install software on a PC continue to step 3.
To install on a PDA, skip to step 4. STEP
3: Installing the software on your PC 1.
Open the directory on your PC where you saved the ZIP file
(download section). 2.
Extract the contents of the ZIP file (select it with your mouse,
right-click on it, choose Extract
All and follow the instructions). 3.
Find Setup.exe and double click on it to start the installation
process. Follow the
instructions and enter the information requested. 4.
During installation you will be asked to enter the serial number
assigned to you when you activated the account.
Enter it exactly as you received it, including dashes (xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx). 5.
You will be prompted for installation options.
We recommend that you leave the default values. 6.
When installation is complete, open your Windows Start Menu and
click on PPPhone. 7.
You will be prompted to enter “SIP
Server Password”. This
is the password that you received when you activated your account.
Note: You may change this
password in the control panel on the GalaxyCall Website. 8.
Next, enter your account information on the settings window.
9.
Configure other options if appropriate and select OK
to save the new settings. 10.
Re-start the program
and check the status indicator at the top of the phone.
If the status indicator is green, your settings are correct. 11.
If the status indicator is still red, please proceed to step 5.
STEP
4: Installing the software on your PDA 1.
Open the directory on your PC where you saved the ZIP file
(download section). 2.
Extract the contents of the ZIP file (select it with your mouse,
right-click on it, choose Extract
All, then follow the instructions). 3.
Look for the file ppphone2003.cab,
and transfer it to My Documents
on your PDA. If your PDA runs on Pocket PC 2002, the file name will be ppphone2002.cab.
You may need to use your cradle to transfer the file. 4.
Find ppphone2003.cab on your
PDA and Tap on it to run the installation. 5.
When the installation is complete, look for PPPhone
on the start menu and tap on it. Note:
If it is not listed on your Start menu, go to Start->Programs.
You should see the PPPhone icon among your other installed
programs. 6.
You will be asked to enter the serial number assigned to you
during activation. It
is case sensitive; enter it exactly as you received it, including dashes
(xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx). 7.
Open the Tools menu at the bottom-left corner of the screen and
select Setup. 8.
Enter your account information on the settings window. 9.
Configure other options if appropriate and select OK
to save the new settings.
Step
5: Connection Settings/ Trouble shooting Follow
these steps if the status indicator is red: 1.
In the Settings window select the Detailed Setup tab. 2.
Check the box under Connection
which best applies to you:
LAN: Any type of
wireless LAN, including WiFi.
PHS64: May be used for Dialup connections or PHS network. Note:
If using a dialup or PHS connection, the Dialup Connections section will
allow you to enter values for your internet account.
This information refers to your account with your ISP, not your
GalaxyCall account. 3.
Select OK
and EXIT GalaxyCall to save
and activate the registered settings. 4.
Restart the program and check that the status indicator is green.
When your
number is busy or unanswered, you may receive the actual message or
notification of your messages by e-mail.
